Truly a Madhouse!

Wednesday, August 18th, 2004

Madhouse Creative is moving to 770 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna.

We’re not in yet, but a move is imminent. Our new studio will be a heritage house on Bernard Avenue in Kelowna.

Constructed in 1907, 770 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna is a stunning two story house, originally built by F.R.E. DeHart, the Managing Director of the Okanagan Fruit and Land Company. In 1907 W.D. Harvey, an Accountant and Secretary-Treasurer of B.C. Growers bought the house. Jake A. Lietz and his wife Ann, purchased the house in 1946 and converted part of it to six rooms for rent. Cheryl MacKenzie bought the house in 1997 and did extensive renovations, finding the structure’s charm and creating a stunning, airy space.

We love the personality of the property, the historical aspects and the charm of the space. The Bernard Avenue area of Kelowna is terrific for Madhouse Creative. With Hambleton Art Gallery across the street, Beyond Audio a couple doors down and Heritage Law Group just down the street, we have great neighbours! The additional exposure from such a magical, high profile location will make more people aware of our great company.

Our new studio space will almost double the area we’ve had on Cadder Avenue. We’re looking forward to the change as all of the Madhouse team could use a little more elbow room, and our clients will appreciate the new ‘parlour’ boardroom and atmosphere.

Kelowna Apple Triathlon off and running

Wednesday, August 18th, 2004

The registrations for the Triathlon have outpaced the original goals.

The week before the start of the Kelowna Apple Triathlon and the registration numbers have far exceeded last year’s, and even outpaced the projections for number of participants. The phone just doesn’t stop ringing with new racers looking to get involved every day. Madhouse’s own, and the Kelowna Apple Triathlon’s Marketing Director, Scott Davis, will be on hand over the weekend to volunteer his spirit and hands to help out with the race. Kelowna residents have come on board and volunteered their time to make this race a huge success. Way to go everyone! Good luck to the athletes.

Cheers to Hester Creek Estate Winery

Wednesday, August 18th, 2004

Madhouse represents a new vintage in marketing efforts.

We’ll drink to that! Madhouse Creative is pleased to announce we have secured a new client in Hester Creek Estate Winery of Oliver, British Columbia.

Situated in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, Wine Country, Hester Creek Estate Winery will be undergoing some major changes; from new ownership, to revisiting their branding, marketing materials, packaging, labelling, advertising, signage, website design and all consumer materials.

During our own company retreat, the Madhouse team outlined industries that we would like to work with. “Wineries came up number one”, explains Tammy Moore, Creative Director of Madhouse Creative. “When our team is excited about a client, the work flows extremely well. So when the opportunity presented itself, that Hester Creek would be in a position for new marketing efforts, we aggressively pursued the account. With our experience in the wine industry, our Okanagan Valley location and the creativity and quality of work we were able to demonstrate, we were able to win over the new owners.”
