PSP shoots new armor

Thursday, June 23rd, 2005

The Kelowna ERT (Emergency Response Team) and BC Dragoons were out in force modelling body armor that Tim Swanky photographed and Madhouse Creative art directed Pacific Safety Products.

The first shoot was at the soon-to-be demolished Kelowna Senior Secondary School site. With a good variety of backgrounds and the roughness of a site ready for demolition, it was hard to believe it was part of beautiful Kelowna. Just as easily the photos have the look of a war-ravaged country. The models provided technical assistance and the right look for the images. Razor wire and broken doors and rooftops gave just the right feeling of reality for the armor uses.

After two full day studio sessions to get the detail of the products, the final photoshoot happened late one night in downtown Kelowna with a couple of RCMP officers. A rain drenched street, squad car lights reflecting off the pooled water and the RCMP officers wearing their personal body armor and gear gave urgency to the images and the right mood.

Our thanks are extended to all of those who assisted with the photoshoot, to each of the RCMP members, the BC Dragoons, the ERT, the City of Kelowna, Tim Swanky of Swanky Photographics and of course our client Pacific Safety Products (PSP). The shoots went well and provided great images for upcoming presentations and marketing materials for PSP.

Madhouse Creative is proud to have worked with PSP over the past five years to produce award-winning creative work that effectively portrays this publicly traded company to a global marketplace. We are pleased each time we are invited back to work on another project and look forward to continuing the relationship into the future.

A Legend is launched

Wednesday, June 15th, 2005

Legend Resorts has just launched the new website for their latest project, Veranda Beach.

Legend Resorts and Jim Hammond are well known for developing innovative resort real estate projects on Big White Ski Resort. Veranda Beach represents the first foray into summer, lakeside resort real estate for the company.

Veranda Beach has been likened to the summer family camp of days past, where dad and mom loaded up the woody panel wagon and set off with the kids to the cottage where they would spend the sun drenched days of the summer. Simple times. Friends. Memories. Relaxation. All hallmarks of past summer vacations.

The project is in Oroville Washington on Lake Osoyoos, in the Okanagan Valley, (or Okanogan for our American friends), just across the border from Osoyoos Canada. As an undiscovered gem, Veranda Beach is able to offer a more affordable price point than vacation properties in Canada. And there isn’t a comparable project with individual cottages, over a mile of sandy beach, a village hall and diner, swimming docks and marina. As families recognize the personal value of these legacy properties, the opportunity to purchase won’t last long.

Madhouse Creative was chosen to develop the brand, marketing materials, website, billboards, discovery centre and signage for the Veranda Beach project. We are pleased to be a part of such an outstanding team.
