Madhouse Creative a finalist

“The greatest achievements are rarely the work of one individual, but rather the collective effort of a dedicated and talented team of committed professionals. This is what the Stora Enso ‘What Teams Can Do’? Competition celebrates - the greatest print design work produced by the most talented teams in the United States and Canada.” states the Stora Enso website.

The Tolko Annual Report - We are Tolko. is the project that was entered into this highly competitive program. Working in close collaboration with the client, Tolko Industries, photographer Tim Swanky and the production house, Wayside Press of Vernon BC, Madhouse Creative of Kelowna designed this annual report to celebrate the individuals throughout Tolko’s operations.

“There are thousands of entries into this program, it is a great honour to be selected for excellence in design.” explains Tammy Moore, principal of Madhouse Creative. “This is truly a team effort to get a project to come together this well and look this good.”

Sonoma Pines uses Madhouse Creative to launch new townhomes

Something Different… Something Better.

With a couple years in the marketplace, and new townhome products coming to market, Rykon Group approached Madhouse to refresh the brand for their golf course neighbourhood development near Westbank - Sonoma Pines.

The identity was well-established so a complete departure was not appropriate, but a simplification of the colours created a more sophisticated approach. The bold, blocky format works well in a variety of applications, reflects the Santa Fé colours and styling of the development and creates a signature style for Sonoma Pines.

Madhouse Creative of Kelowna, British Columbia implemented the refreshed brand throughout the advertising campaign, signage and banners. A strong direct mail piece was also developed to send to locals to provide information on the stand alone homes as well as to announce the new townhomes that are coming to market. Madhouse also created a new website to update the message and reflect the new brand.

Rykon Group also invited Madhouse to refresh the discovery centre. The development brand and corporate message are featured on a background of strong colour and floorplans are framed by bold colour bands. The overall approach is cleaner, more sophisticated and fresher looking.

The Raven has taken flight with Madhouse Creative

Thursday, November 17th, 2005

Sólido Group is at it again. The Raven will be the fourth project at British Columbia’s Big White Ski Resort for this developer.

After very successful sales with the previous projects, The Raven is expected to be an even stronger performer. A signature with all Sólido Group homes, thoughtful design details are brought forward throughout the well-designed floorplans and common areas. Large windows embrace the views of the Monashee Mountains. Decks are large enough for hot tubs and entertaining. And The Raven is situated in Big White’s Happy Valley, just a short stroll from the gondola and aprés ski activities.

Madhouse was hired to create the branding for the project. Given a name like The Raven, the personality had to come out with an edginess and strength. A small format brochure is used to provide limited information and entice recipients to investigate further, through direct contact with Sólido Group or a visit to the website. The website provides more complete information including floorplans, features and finishes as well as purchasing information and answers to frequently asked questions. A floorplan kit was created to provide interested individuals with specific detail about each unit and the features and finishes of this Sólido Group development. Madhouse Creative also worked on a new tradeshow booth and display that was used for shows in Hong Kong.

With the ski season set to open at Big White Ski Resort on November 24, The Raven will be offering pre-construction pricing and looking forward to sales.

Kelowna General Hospital Foundation Annual Report places in a national competition!

Madhouse Creative designed the Annual Report for Kelowna General Hospital Foundation. Entered into the Health Care Public Relations Association Canada (HCPRA) Excellence in Health Care Communication awards program, the KGHF Annual Report placed a strong second.

Designed as a communication tool, the Annual Report has enabled the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation to present themselves well to professional organizations and individuals. The smaller format, strong colours, and soft paper stock have worked well to create a visually interesting, easy to read and compelling message.

Madhouse Creative worked with the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation for over 8 years and created direct mail programs, newsletters, annual reports, fundraising campaigns, presentation materials, brochures and other collateral pieces that were used to communicate with donors and inspire others.

Please consider Kelowna General Hospital Foundation for your charitable giving.
